Well as most of us know Microsoft excel is not very easy or fun to use unless you know what you are doing and I will admit that I know a lot about computers and excel trips me up every time. working with excel does not have to give you a headache there are many good websites out there to walk you through it step- by-step it is like excel for dummies. All you have to do is go to the Microsoft how to for teachers’ web site and then click on the link for excel and then pick the topic that you want to do and it will walk you through all of the steps that you want to do. When I went to the web site I looked at many of the different topics but the one that I found to be the coolest was the one where it helps you make a picture graph with real pictures. I think that it would be a lot of fun for your students to make a picture graph with pictures that they took themselves. The best thing about the whole site was how easy it is to use if you follow all the steps you will never get lost or get a headache. I know this will help me when I teach and I hope it will help you in your future teaching career

snap snap snap
I think that using digital cameras in the classroom is a great idea that most people look over when they are talking about technology. It can be a great thing to get the students excited about school or whatever activity you are using the camera for and though the activity they will learn something . . . we hope. I am going to give you my top ten reasons why to use a digital camera.
- 1- You can take pictures of your class just for memory sake.
- 2- If you are doing a project you can use it to remember the data or to compare different stages of the project.
- 3- If your camera also will do videos you can put on a play out of your reading book and put it online so the class can show their mom and dad.
- 4- You can use the pictures to make a bulletin board of the students pictures
- 5- Teaching the students how to edit pictures of themselves
- 6- Let the student take pictures around the school of things in a certain category
- 7- Take a picture of all the students individually and put it on a piece of paper and give it to another student so they can write something nice about the person they have.
- 8- Make a pictorial setting chart so when you as the teacher are gone the sub will know who is who
- 9- Just let the students have fun taking fun pictures
- 10- Use the camera to make a scavenger hunt around the school and give the students that pictures and they have to find the place on the campus.

CSO's
As I have progressed in my teacher training have learned about many different teaching styles one of them being the use of technology. There are many different ways to use technology, from overheads and computers to PowerPoint and internet websites. Last semester, I was in a class named testing and curriculum that introduced us to content standard objections, CSO for short. CSO are the state requirements for the public schools in West Virginia, there are different standards for each and subject. There are many different ways to use technology I think it is a great way to teach your students to think different ways about life. Also there are many things that the students have to learn about computers like in a computer class and also in the classroom. As a soon to be teacher I will have to be very creative in the ways that I use technology in my classroom, I will be gathering more and more ideas as I move on in my studies and I will always be looking for new ideas even once I am teaching.

The amazing power of God !!!
So as we all know that last Wednesday in chapel was the day of prayer and we prayed that the Lord would send servants to fill different open spots in the ministry, and let me tell you the God does answer prayers. During the whole time the student body was popcorn praying for the Lord to fill the different “holes” in ministry I was not paying attention at all to the other students prayers I was praying that God would use me to fill one of those “holes” and little did I know that is exactly what He was going to do for me that very day right after chapel. While I was praying I stopped at the very time that Nate McKanna was praying for his camp in Ohio, called Skyview Ranch, and he said the he wanted the Lord to fill three open spots that they had for, get this, guy counselors for this summer. I was setting in my chapel seat and I felt the Lord say this is what I have for you to do this summer. As soon as I finished eating lunch I ran to my room because I had remembered the in January when the director of the camp came to ABC I had talked to him about the camp and… (This is my favorite part) I had gone online and printed out and filled out an application for the camp. So I went to talk to Nate and see what to do about this summer so he called the director and he said “Get it to me today and we can get things going” so I had to finish one part real quick a than I gave to Nate to scan it and e-mail it to the director. Later that week on Friday I got a call on my phone and it was the director of the camp and he wanted to interview me for and summer job. I just love to see that way the God works all things together for good to those who love God, it amazing to see what God will do when you give him your full life.

My Amazing Spring Break
Over my spring break I was in the first grade at welcome elementary, in Welcome, North Carolina. I enjoyed my visit in that classroom very much I learned a lot of stuff about how a public school runs. I have never been in a public school; I have gone to a Christian school my whole life so I was a new experience for me all around. My first day was very overwhelming just to see that many students in one school at one time and how well the whole day went considering there were more students in the whole elementary school than there were in my whole (k5-12 grade) school. The students in my class were amazing after just one day I feel in love with them and I did not want to leave when Friday came. This whole experience just showed me how much more I want to become a teacher.
