My Amazing Spring Break

Over my spring break I was in the first grade at welcome elementary, in Welcome, North Carolina. I enjoyed my visit in that classroom very much I learned a lot of stuff about how a public school runs. I have never been in a public school; I have gone to a Christian school my whole life so I was a new experience for me all around. My first day was very overwhelming just to see that many students in one school at one time and how well the whole day went considering there were more students in the whole elementary school than there were in my whole (k5-12 grade) school. The students in my class were amazing after just one day I feel in love with them and I did not want to leave when Friday came. This whole experience just showed me how much more I want to become a teacher.

I am so glad that you enjoyed your time in first grade over Spring Break, and that it only reinforced your desire to become a teacher. I am sure that the students enjoyed their time with you as well. What were some of the things that made you love the classroom that you were in? Don't forget about the great things that you saw happening there because those are some of the same things that you can incorporate into your own classroom one day. It will come sooner than you think!

Greg,
I really enjoyed my Classroom Field Study in the public school too. I was excited when I saw some of my students from that class at the summer school program I worked with last summer and was able to interact well with them because I had observed the teaching style of their teacher already.
It's always exciting to experience a different school and I'm sure you learned so much in your experience. Your enthusiasm for teaching shows what a great teacher you're going to be!

I'm so glad your public school field study went well. I know you feel God has called you to teach in public school so it is good that you had such a great time!
I think you are going to be a great teacher someday and I'm excited to hear all the stories about your students! I'm praying for you :)
